The Visible Child: A Collective Approach to Mental and Chemical Health Services in Supportive Housing
The Visible Child is a collective approach to addressing the mental and chemical health needs of formerly homeless children and parents. Through the Visible Child, supportive housing providers share staff training in adult and child mental and chemical health, and research and planning regarding children’s health and developmental needs.
A hallmark of the Visible Child is its support for the frontline workers who provide the services at the heart of family supportive housing. Healthy Families offers staff training and a support group for case managers.
