Parent Education
From Neurons to Neighborhoods, an authoritative compendium on the early brain development in young children, encourages a dual approach to support positive developmental outcomes of children who have experienced homelessness. “Generally speaking, programs that offer both a parent and child component appear to be the most successful in promoting long-term developmental gains for children from low-income families. Most of the documented benefits have clustered in the realm of social development, perhaps because early program impact on risk factor for antisocial behavior.”
The Visible Child Initiative employs a dual approach to promote positive child outcomes.
