Public Policy Accomplishments

In the 2008/2009 legislative session the Supportive Housing Provider Group and Family Supportive Housing Center made some headway towards improving outcomes of homeless young children.

HF 2088 Head Start “Innovative Initiatives” passed, which allows Head Start programs with “innovative initiatives” more flexibility – without penalty – to serve children and families who live in shelters, transitional housing or permanent housing.
